The experience of practicing mindfulness meditation among women graduate psychology students

The main purpose of the study is to learn about the experiences of women graduate psychology students at least 18 years old, who practice mindfulness meditation during graduate school. I want to know how their experience impacts their ability to weather the challenges associated with the academic stress of achieving a degree.

Your Impact


The proposed study will contribute to the limited inquiry on mindfulness from the perspective of women graduate perspective. This study will advance scientific knowledge by adding to the theory on mindfulness and by confirming the theory of mindfulness meditation ability to extends various benefits in many spheres and among diverse populations.

18 to 65 years old

Study Tasks


Participants will be required to complete a 1 hour interview
1/2 hour follow up interview

1.5 hours total, 2 sessions

Participants will complete a 1.5-hour semi-structured, open-ended interview and a 1 hour follow up interview via Adobe Connect. Participants will receive an electronic Amazon visa gift card valued at $30.00 after completion of the study.
