Researchers
Researchers at TAGlab at the University of Toronto are studying how to design senior-friendly smartspeaker technologies. We are interested in older adults' perceptions and preferences of smartspeakers before and after using them. We are looking for participants who are interested in completing the following: 1) one briefing interview (1.5hr-2hr); 2) an unboxing interview (1.5hr-2hr) where they open an Amazon Alexa Echo Dot, set it up, and complete some starter tasks with it; 3) deployment period where they try the Amazon Alexa for up to two weeks; and, 4) a followup interview (1.5hr-2hr) on the experience. There will be: 1) one briefing interview (1.5hr-2hr); 2) deployment period where you try an Amazon Alexa for up to two weeks; and, 3) a followup interview (1.5hr-2hr). Participants must have a tablet or a touchscreen computer with internet access and will be compensated $30 and allowed to keep the Amazon Alexa Echo Dot that was used in the study.
Participant must be living in Canada.
