Female English-German & English-Farsi bilinguals needed!

University of Toronto, Department of Speech-Language Pathology, Multilingual Development Lab, Rehabilitation Sciences Institute

The Multilingual Development Lab is looking for female English-German or English-Farsi bilinguals between 18-35 years of age to help us with the creation of the stimuli for an upcoming study on speech processing. To be eligible, you must be a native speaker of both Canadian-English & German OR Canadian-English & Farsi and have minimal or no knowledge of any other languages. During the session, you will be asked to produce a natural speech sample in English and German/Farsi and to read through a pre-determined list of words. You must be comfortable being in front of the camera (we may also ask you to tie your hair back depending on the length and to wear a black top for consistency purposes). The full session will be video recorded and the resulting files will be used as audio-visual stimuli for an upcoming study. Duration: ~1.5-2h Compensation: $18-24 Thank you for your time! Please fill out our pre-study questionnaire to determine your eligibility by clicking "Participate" below.
