Giant COVID Survey

Independent, Research Consultant

This survey is not for the faint of heart. We wanted to create the biggest, most wide-ranging survey to document the impact of COVID on our everyday lives and to gather our predictions for how we think this crisis will change us and the world around us. That means that there are going to be a lot of questions (50 for each person to be exact). ‍ Some of the questions are serious, some are silly, and we hope you participate by filling them all in. If you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can skip them. ‍ We understand the seriousness of the current situation and are in no way trying to make light. People are losing their lives, their family members, their jobs, and other sources of stability in life. Within this larger context, most of us have also experienced other changes to our everyday lives that we could not have predicted. Some are large, some are small, and some are weird. The goal of this survey is to capture a snapshot of those changes at this unique moment in time. ‍ What’s next? Much is unknown, and experts cannot agree on what life will look like in the U.S. in the next year or two. Large changes to our economy, society, and even politics are possible. ‍ Given this unpredictable future, we would like to collect predictions from today’s vantage point about what changes are likely in our individual lives and in society before next summer (June 2021).

Your Impact

You will contribute to our understanding of people's experience during this period of time and predictions for the future from today's vantage point. We will be publishing a summary of the results that will be freely available to all and an open data set of responses from those respondents who choose to share them.
