Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Volunteers Wanted for a PET Imaging Research Study

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH),

Researchers at CAMH are conducting a PET (positron emission tomography) imaging study to look at the endocannabinoid system in the brain of patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. This study involves a screening phone call, an assessment visit and one or more scan days involving one MRI and one PET scan with blood draws.

Eligibility Criteria

All genders

19 to 100 years old

have a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

no current drug or alcohol abuse

no unstable medical condition

not pregnant / breastfeeding

not claustrophobic

no metal implants that could interfere with MRI

have not been exposed to radiation more than 4 times (in the past year)
