LGBTQI2S people of colour are chronically underrepresented in academic research. This anonymous online questionnaire is an opportunity for you to help change that! The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between microaggressions and substance use from an intersectional framework. The ultimate aim is to highlight the central role that communities play in increasing resiliency among LGBTQI2S racial and ethnic minorities. The researcher for this study also identifies as both an ethnic minority and LGBTQI2S.
By sharing your experiences, you may gain a better understanding of your experiences of discrimination and substance use, but also your resiliency and strength. Some people may find this reflection to be helpful in their personal lives. The information you provide will help us to develop better practices for working with LGBTQ+-POC emerging adults. You will also receive a list of helpful resources that you may use in the immediate or future if you desire access to mental health services.
