The YOLO Restless Legs Game

university of york, Sleep, Language and memory lab

We are looking to recruit individuals both individuals who experience symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome and those who do not for this research project. The York Object Locations Online (YOLO) Sleep Study is a brand new research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) that will run until September 2020. Our lab, the Sleep, Language and Memory (SLAM) Lab at the University of York, are very interested in the relationship between sleep and memory. By filling out our questionnaires and trying out the memory game, you will help us to dig deeper and better understand the complex relationship between lifestyle, sleep quality, and memory. What is involved? The study takes places over two sessions. In Session 1 we will ask you some questions about how you are sleeping generally and how alert you feel during the day. As soon as you submit the Google Form for this, you will immediately be redirected to a memory game which takes around 15 minutes to complete and involves remembering where some objects we present to you are placed on screen. In Session 2, we will ask you to answer a few more questions about your sleep and mood and after you submit your answers you will immediately be re-directed to the second and final part of the memory game, which is very similar to the one you have already completed, except that it only lasts a few minutes. If you would like to take part, all you have to do is take 5 minutes to fill out our screener form and we will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know if we would like you to go ahead with the study.
