Claustrophobia Study

This study will help participants learn strategies for reducing claustrophobic fear.

Eligibility Criteria

All genders

17 to 65 years old

Individuals who fear being in enclosed spaces on their own (e.g., small rooms, dark closets, elevators, etc.)

Study Tasks

Participants will learn strategies for reducing claustrophobic fear
Participants will fill out questionnaires


This study has been reviewed by the Ryerson Research Ethics Board


Activity and Time


Clinical Trial, Phone Call

Weekdays, Weeknights

3 hour(s) - 3.5 hour(s) per session

1 session(s)

There will be a phone call to determine eligibility, a 3.5 hour session including claustrophobia strategies and questionnaires, and a 1 hour follow-up 1 month later to measure improvement.
