Do You Want to Quit Smoking?

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Nicotine Dependence Clinic

This study is called NRT to Effect. We are interested in seeing if personalizing the nicotine patch dose to match an individual's needs is a safe and effective way of helping an individual quit smoking. Study treatment starts with 2 weeks of 21mg/day nicotine patches (standard treatment). For the next 10 weeks after that, you will either continue on standard treatment, or be randomized to receive higher doses of nicotine patches or placebo patches.
