Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH),

We are assessing the mechanisms and treatment of neuropsychiatric/behavioral symptoms (such as agitation) in AD with the use of non-invasive, brain stimulation approaches. The purpose is to advance our understanding of AD by applying magnetic stimulation to the surface of the head (transcranial magnetic stimulation). We will also evaluate if a novel brain stimulation approach, transcranial direct current stimulation is effective to treat agitation in dementia.
