An investigation of musculoskeletal problems after stroke

Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (KITE) - University Health Network, Mobility

The effects of stroke can make walking difficult and change the walking pattern. These changes in the walking pattern could lead to problems like pain and stiffness in the legs and back. We are interested in learning about the problems that people with stroke may have developed in their legs and backs since they had their stroke. We are looking for people who are adults (18+) and greater than 1 year post-stroke. We are also looking for individuals with this same criteria who were admitted to Toronto Rehabilitation Institute for inpatient rehabilitation and who participated in the Balance, Mobility and Falls Clinic.
