A joint Ryerson-York Universities research project looking for participants with older relatives from Hong Kong. We are looking for grandchildren of HK older immigrants to participate in the research to tell us what they think we can do to prevent older immigrants from experiencing mistreatment.
Contribute to the understanding and development of new strategies to prevent older immigrants from experiencing unfair treatment in Canada
A first- or second- generation immigrant from Hong Kong who speaks Cantonese
Living now in the Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area
Someone who – now or in the past – has provided care and support to an older relative (who may or may not live in the same house)
This research study has been reviewed and approved by the Ryerson University Research Ethics Board (REB 2019-223) and the York University Research Ethics Board (REB 2019-261), and is funded by The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (435-2016-1318).
