Study on Military Family Resilience

University of Calgary, Counselling Psychology

We are investigating resilience in children living with current or former members of the military. We want to understand the relationship between occupational stress injuries in parents and youth mental health, as well as youth resilience. To participate in this study you will be asked to fill out a brief, online questionnaire about your OSI symptoms and your child will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about their well-being, strengths, and relationship with you. If your teen is between 14 and 18, and feel they are doing well they may also volunteer to be interviewed about their experiences. Survey participants will be entered to win one of 5, $50 Amazon gift cards and teens who participate in the interviews will be given a $25 Amazon gift card as thanks for their participation.
