Family Coping with COVID-19 Study

Saint Mary's University, Psychology, Development of Youth Social Competence Lab

We are recruiting parents to participate in a study about how families are feeling and behaving during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are hoping to understand how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is affecting young children’s lives and those of their parents. For example, we are hoping to learn about how any changes in children’s social and emotional development coincide with how the pandemic has been affecting parents’ lives. We would like to have parents complete a confidential online survey each month, for the next 6 months. We hope that this will help us learn about the best ways to help families during stressful times like this. Parents and co-parents would each be entered into 6 monthly draws for $100 e-gift cards to a local grocery store or restaurant delivery service.

Your Impact

We are collaborating on this study with researchers from around the world. Participants will be able to help represent Canada in this global study. Possible benefits include contributing to knowledge on how the Coronavirus/COVID-19 is impacting child and family daily lives and well-being and how this may change over time. This information will help identify the best ways to support families in the future.
