Researchers
The study involves your baby sitting on your lap, and watching a video of an actor playing with a puzzle box and later videos of the actor being helpful and unhelpful. Your baby will then see a video of a ball being hidden in a cup where the actor will then give your baby a hint about where she thinks the ball is. Your baby will have a chance to point to which cup the ball is in. We want to see what babies think of fairness and how it can relate to other behaviours, such as helping or not helping and trust. This study would take place over video chat, so our researchers would give you a call via Zoom at a time that is convenient for you. (Zoom is a free online platform for videochats and it works like Skype!)
Your participation will help us understand typical developments in fairness, helpfulness, and trust, helping us to improve these moral characters in young children
