TIME Study: Temporal Influences on Movement & Exercise Study

University of Southern California, Department of Preventive Medicine/ REACH Lab

Northeastern University, mHealth Research Group

The University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine is recruiting participants for a new study. We are interested in understanding activities, sleep, and health in young adults. If you participate in this study, you will be loaned an Android smartwatch to wear for up to 12 months. During the study, you will answer short survey questions on your Android cell phone and/or the smartwatch. We are excited about this project because it is one of the first studies that will collect data through a smartwatch to study activities, sleep, and health in young adults across the United States. This knowledge may help create better strategies to prevent diseases like diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and cancer. You will be paid monthly for participating in this study.

Your Impact

The TIME Study is a new research project that uses Android-based smartphones and smartwatches to collect real-time data from YOU the participant to better understand how everyday activities affect your physical activity, sitting and sedentary behavior, and sleep. With this information, we hope this may help researchers to develop better behavior change interventions that can help people stay healthy.
